KTS/ESI Operation

Course Description​

This course is aimed at Automotive Service Centres already using the Bosch KTS diagnostic tester or where customers have shown interest in the diagnostic tester. Effective use of the KTS in conjunction with ESI[tronic] software and CAS[plus] functionality maximising the use of the KTS for improved fault diagnosis on the vehicle. Emphasis will also be placed on the efficient sourcing of information using ESI[tronic] and its value as a stand alone workshop tool.

Objectives of the training course:

• Maximising the efficiency of your diagnosis using the KTS
• Using oscilloscope and multimeter functions
• Accessing, recording and analysing live data traces
• Referencing technical instructions (SIS), parts diagrams and component fitment lists
• Linking scanned data into your repair information (CAS)
• Accessing common fault data base and other online features
• Producing customer diagnostic reports

• Vehicle diagnosis (live on vehicle & in simulation mode)
• SIS trouble-shooting instructions and CAS[plus]
• Service View
• Measurement options with multimeter and oscilloscope.
• ESI[tronic] features, including parts search, vehicle search, use of navigation bar, link between CAS[plus] and KTS and reading and understanding circuit diagrams
